Moments after a young family in Evesham Township declined to tell a reporter who they voted for, the father, Jason Barnes, proclaimed he had someone willing to share his vote: three-year-old Robert Barnes, who helped his father cast his ballot.
But who did the youngster vote for?
"Obama and John McCain," Robert said.
Actually, the vote went to Obama. "I just think he's the better person," said Jason, 25, an electrician. "(McCain's) had his time."
Things weren't so peachy between another father and son in Moorestown.
Mike Fabi, 47, a Realtor who votes Republican largely on moral issues, accompanied his son, Randy Fabi, to the polls, an 18-year-old high school senior casting his first vote.
"First-time voter," Mike Fabi proudly said.
The father beamed until Randy said he made a last-minute switch to vote for Obama inside the booth.
"He was McCain until the time he got into the booth," Mike Fabi said. "Unbelievable. I don't believe this. First- and last-time voter."
